We’re called Bold Content because we love to make content that’s a bit different.
In order to be bold you have to create content that stands out from the crowd. The status quo is boring so we like to move things forward and push boundaries. Why copy someone else’s work when you can evolve it, mash it up, subvert it or put a clever spin on it. That’s what we’re here to do.

Clients come to us with a brief or an idea and we work with them to create content that will meet their marketing goals and engage their audience because of its creative originality. How we do this is by working with filmmakers from diverse backgrounds. There is so much homogeneity in the video industry that we need fresh new voices with different perspectives in order to break through and create interesting new videos. We don’t just stop at Directors though, our crews are populated with professionals from diverse backgrounds, allowing us to champion creative originality in every aspect of production from scripting to cinematography, from sound design to colour grading. This creative engine powers fresh ideas emerging into compelling video stories that resonate with your audience, based on embedded emotional messages.

P.F. Chang’s Asian Table

This project exemplifies the Bold Content approach: To meet our client’s marketing goals but to create content that will engage audiences due to its creative originality.

Our client asked us to create a corporate documentary for an internal conference. We asked whether we could also create a piece which would work for their website and social channels which would make them stand out from the crowd. They agreed to give us creative control so we worked with a talented young Director, Ben Wilkinson (who several years ago had been through our intern training program) to create a documentary which is visually arresting, using fast-paced editing, strong sound design and a voice over which interacts with the participants.

We met their initial marketing goal with this film:

But also helped them create a striking social media film, which worked to entice people to visit P.F. Chang’s Leicester Square location. We wanted to create a light-hearted piece, which parallels the environment of the restaurant: smart and sophisticated but not pretentious.

Stylist x Pandora

We were asked to create a series of editorial videos for Stylist’s client, Pandora Jewellery. The videos were to feature industry experts, who give tried-and-testes fashion advice, while showcasing how they use jewellery to express themselves in their work life.

Our videos for Pandora Jewellery featured three fashion-industry experts: Erica Matthews, a fashion stylist, Joanna Bongard, a wedding photographer, and Jesse Walker, a make-up artist. All three creative and powerful females, we wanted to showcase how they express their individual style through the use of jewellery.

Joanna Bongard

We utilized a crew of seven for this project, and shot over two days in two locations. We used a variety of close-up and medium shots to feature the jewellery, and filmed an interview at the beginning of each shoot for our voice-over content.

Market Invoice

We were provided with a script that followed the growth story of Smith & Sinclair, one of MarketInvoice’s clients. Smith & Sinclair offers a range of edible cocktail products.

Our goal was to create a video that was fresh, story-driven, and visually dynamic. The challenge came with the video format: testimonials videos are rarely story-driven, and MarketInvoice requested something  that put the story of their client in the forefront. They wanted to present MarketInvoice as an easy-to-use partner that enabled Smith & Sinclair to transform their business.

We decided to feature Melanie, Smith & Sinclair’s co-founder. In order for the viewer to connect emotionally with Melanie, we approached the realities of business with an honest and open view. We did this by speaking to Melanie in a frank manner, asking about the difficulties and realities of entrepreneurialism in addition to the inspiring growth the brand has achieved.

To accompany the dialogue, we planned a visually aesthetic video that shows rather then tells the growth Smith & Sinclair went through.

Our plan was to feature numerous cutaways between our clips of Melanie. We had access to shoot at Smith & Sinclair’s production facility in south London, so we had an enormous variety of shots, documenting the production process from start to finish.

MarketInvoice’s rebrand, new video content, and Out of Home campaign has been well-received with widespread PR and online engagement. Our video is now featured on their upgraded website.
